Greetings to all in this sad time,We would like to invite everyone to gather together to participate in a Walk Of Grief for Gaza.We will be meeting at the bandshell in Polson Park, Vernon BC at 3:00pm on Saturday October 21, 2023. Our intention is to not only show our support but to also bring attention to Gaza’s suffering and condemn the continuous onslaught on the Palestinian people, recognized by the UN as crimes against humanity. The time is now for people to show their outrage at the flagrant disregard for international human rights.We would like to ask you to wear dark clothing, make a sign that will be clear and visible, and understand that though we will have some words of welcome and handouts before we begin moving, the grief walk will be done in silence. Our signs, flags and presence will speak for us.People with compromised mobility can meet at the Vernon Courthouse on 27th Street at approximately 3:45 PM.In solidarity we stand.
